A TEENAGE cyclist from Barnsley won gold at the World Junior Track Championships in China on Thursday afternoon.

Imogen Wolff, from Silkstone Common, was part of the Great Britain team pursuit quartet which broke the world record in Louyang.

They beat France in the final by almost five seconds, having defeated Italy in the previous round.

Imogen is considered one of the top young prospects in British cycling, having excelled on the track, road and in cyclocross events.

The 18-year-old has previously won national junior titles and has stated that she would like to compete in the Olympics in the future.
