IMOGEN Wolff finished in the top ten of her category representing Great Britain at the World Cyclocross Championships in France.

The 18-year-old from Silkstone was competing in the women’s under 23s race on Sunday.

She finished ninth, despite being one of the youngest competitors in the race.

Imogen is in her first season as a professional, riding with team Visma Lease A Bike.

She said after the race: “Ninth at worlds was the best with what I had.

“But pleased to be back smiling and loving racing my bike after a difficult period.

“It’s been a challenging season, but grateful to everyone for the unwavering faith and support.”

Cyclocross is a winter sport on muddy and hilly terrain in which riders can dismount and carry their bikes.
