Barnsley goalkeeper Ben Killip has joined Portsmouth for an undisclosed fee.
The 29-year-old has been at Oakwell since 2023, breaking into the first 11 in October before being replaced by new signing Joe Gauci last week.
Gauci and Jackson Smith will now compete for the number one shirt.
Sporting director Mladen Sormaz said: “Ben leaves Barnsley with nothing but our well wishes for the future. He has been a valuable squad member and has contributed a lot in recent months. We had agreed with Ben that he could leave the club if he was not guaranteed to be number one, and with Joe arriving last week, we felt it was right to allow him to leave at this stage.”
