Barnsley have signed striker Sam Cosgrove on a three-year deal from Birmingham City.
The 26-year-old gained promotion from League One last season while on loan to Plymouth, netting eight goals in 33 games.
After spells at Wigan and Carlisle, he made his name at Aberdeen before joining the Blues in 2021.
He has played 14 Championship games for them without scoring and was also loaned out to Shrewsbury and Wimbledon, netting three goals in 32 games.
Chief executive Khaled El-Ahmad said: "We are happy to be able to bring Sam to Oakwell.
“Sam represents a different profile of striker to add to the forwards we currently have at the club and will add a different dimension to the attack.
“Sam knows what it takes to achieve promotion and is excited for the challenge. “We wish him the best of luck for his time with the club.”
