Rugby league clubs Dodworth Miners and Dearne Valley Bulldogs missed out on titles within the Yorkshire League this week.
Dodworth travelled to Bromley Buffaloes on top of Division Three but knowing defeat would see their hosts finish first. Dodworth were 18-6 down at half-time but led 20-18 before the hosts won it with a late try. Scott Edwards scored two tries and Tom Hardwick one.
Dodworth now play in the promotion play-offs at home to Upton on Saturday.
Dearne lost 36-32 at home to Derby Elks who scored with the final play of the game to win it. The Bulldogs have finished second in Division Five.
