DODWORTH MW visit Bramley Buffaloes in a ‘winner takes all’ finale to the Yorkshire League Division Three season tomorrow.
Dodworth are currently two points clear at the top having won 12 of their 13 games this season, so would clinch the title with a win or draw.
But, if Dodworth lose, Bramley will overtake them as the Buffaloes have a superior points difference.
Coach Matthew Brocksom said: “To win the league would be a tremendous achievement for our team.
“We have made so much progress in the past two years and this will be the accumulation of all of our hard work. We know that Bramley are an extremely tough side and we know that it will be a challenge to win the game, especially playing away.
“But we are all looking forward to giving it 100 per cent and hopefully coming away with the two points and top spot.”
Dearne Valley Bulldogs lost 26-18 at home to Lindley St Joseph’s in a top of the table clash in Division Five.
Dearne are still top but just a point clear of Lindley who have a game in hand.
Dearne now complete their season tomorrow at home to third-placed Derby Elks while Lindley have two games left so winning them both will secure the title.
Rycroft Hammers lost 44-24 at Moortown Mambas in Division Six.
