DOZENS turned out for the official premiere of a Barnsley Hospice anniversary video at the Parkway Cinema.

The red carpet was rolled out for the event - which was organised by the Chronicle - with Mayor of Barnsley John Clarke, radio DJ Stephanie Hirst and council leader Sir Steve Houghton turning out to see the debut on Monday.

Attendees got the first look at the hospice’s anniversary music video, which sees local music legend Tom Master performing a cover of Bill Withers’ 1972 single ‘Lean on Me’.

The video features hospice staff and patients lip-syncing the song and will be played ahead of every film shown at the cinema this week.

Anyone who would like to see the video can view it on the hospice’s website.
