THERE was a 1-0 defeat for Barnsley Schoolgirls under 12s in the National Plate final over the weekend.
The youngsters lost out to their rivals from Knowsley St Helen’s at Sixways Stadium in Worcester.
The team still has another chance to land some silverware in the Federation Cup final against Sheffield.
