MORE calls have been made to deter young motorists from using Shafton Community Centre’s car park as a meeting place after canisters of nitrous oxide were found.

The substance, more commonly known as laughing gas, has become a popular legal high and a dozen empty canisters were left behind at the car park, off High Street, by Peter Makinson, of Shafton Parish Council.

The Chronicle can confirm that more PCSO patrols will take place in the area, after further complaints were made at the latest Police and Communities Together (PACT) meeting.
