YOU’LL struggle to find anyone in Barnsley who’s drank more pints of Guinness than Koby Greenwood.

The 22-year-old, who lives in the town centre, runs a Twitter and Instagram page called ‘Pints of G’ - both of which have accrued more than 25,000 followers between them.

On the pages he visits pubs across the UK and Ireland with his girlfriend, Adeilade Harper, to try out as many pints as he possibly can.

But he’s not always been a Guinness drinker.

He told the Chronicle: “It all started when I went to a stag do in Dublin.

“Everything there is about drinking Guinness.

“I used to be more a lager drinker before that but it’s my favourite drink now.”

Koby is planning to head to Dublin next month and Cork in December - and he’s hoping to add to his already impressive tally of drinks.

“I reckon I’ve had a couple of thousands pints - it’s quite a lot,” he added.

“We try to visit as many pubs as we can around the UK and Ireland.

“It’s been really good to visit different cities, different pubs and meet some really good people.

“We’ve collaborated with some of the biggest pubs in the UK as well - last month we got invited to an open night at Mulligans in Manchester.

“We’ve got a lot of followers from Ireland and then a lot of Americans follow us as well.”

But where’s the best pint he’s tried?

“The best pint we’ve had is at the Bittles Bar in Belfast,” he said.

“The owner of Bittles claims that he can sell 700 pints of Guinness on a good day.”
