Wombwell Town lost for the first time in NCEL Division One this season, in their 13th match, as they were beaten 3-1 at home to South Leeds on Tuesday.
The visitors were 3-0 up after 23 minutes then scored an own goal soon after but held on to win despite having a man sent off for a high foot midway through the second half.
The Wombwell club are second, six points behind leaders Horbury Town who have played two extra games.
Dearne and District’s 11-game unbeaten run in the league ended with a 2-1 loss at leaders Horbury Town on Tuesday.
The hosts scored twice early in the second half then debutant Jamie Austin pulled one back for Dearne.
The Goldthorpe club could have gone joint top with victory but instead are now third, with 32 points from their first 16 games following promotion to the NCEL last season.
