MONK Bretton under 17s beat Silkstone United by five wickets in a cup semi-final.

Kian Lindsay and Jenson Hayes took two wickets each then Lewis Wilkinson top-scored. Luke Heath made 53 not out for Silkstone then Bobby Wright took two wickets.

The Monks’ final opponents will be Wath under 17s who beat Barnsley Woolley by nine wickets.

Harveer Batth made a half-century for Barnsley with four sixes then Wath’s Lochlan Gannon cleared the ropes three times in his 51 not out. Harrison Roebuck took two wickets.

Penistone under 13s won at Barnsley Woolley Miners. Ernie Tomlinson took three for seven and Joe Musgrave two for nine before Nathesh Nanthakumar top-scored. Harmanvir Batth top-scored for the hosts then there were three wickets for Isaac Wilkes and Ryan Hubery, who only conceded one run.

Wath under 13s beat Rockingham by 13 runs. Josh Burrows top-scored for Wath then Ollie Burrows two wickets as did both Joe and Isaac Wainwright. Rock’s Harry Swallow and Austin Marlow took two wickets then Manvir Kang top-scored.

Penistone under 13s won at Higham in the eight-a-side cup quarter-final.

Ewan Watt top-scored for Higham and Charlie Barker for Penistone.

Penistone under 11s won at Barnsley Woolley Miners. David Moore and Stan Green top-scored for Penistone then Stan and Henry Green took two wickets each.

Cawthorne under 11s won at Wath.

William Kerry starred with the bat then James Haslam took three wickets for two runs and Sebastian Burdin two for three. Wath’s Joe Abbs also took two.

Casey Steventon took four for seven as Darfield under 15s beat Wath in a cup tie. There were two wickets for Ethan Gornall and Joshua Sixsmith.

Lochlan Gannon top-scored for Wath then Ollie Burrows took two wickets.

Barnsley Woolley Miners under 15s enjoyed a win at Sprotbrough.

Harveer Batth made a crucial 40 not out off 46 balls with seven fours.
