WEST Bretton chased 241 with three wickets and 11 balls left at Knottingley Town in the Pontefract League Premier Division.

Jake Chapman made 70 off 55 balls with eight fours and four sixes, after Anthony Scully took three wickets.

Bretton then lost by seven wickets at Frickley in the Skidmore Cup semi-final. George Naylor made 56 in Bretton’s 147.

Darton were skittled for 85 in a six-wicket loss at home to Fenwick in the Championship.

Stainborough chased 102 for a one-wicket win over Oulton in Division One. Josh Abson took five wickets then top-scored for Stainborough who have moved off bottom of the table.

Thurnscoe Institute won by 39 runs at home to Calder Grove.

Ashley Newton scored 58 in Thurnscoe’s 210 then Bradley Newton took three wickets.

Joe Corbet made 98 in Ryhill and Havercroft’s win at Horbury Bridge 2nd XI in Division Four. Ryhill made 195 – with Corbett hitting 16 fours and four sixes – then bowled Horbury out for 60 as Nick Hague took four for nine and Luke Speight three for 11.

West Bretton 2nd XI chased 200 for a five-wicket win over Allerton Bywater in Division Two.

James Derham took four wickets then Marc Brampton, who hit seven sixes in his 59, and Cameron Brampton (65 not out) secured the win.
