A LATE penalty miss denied Barnsley victory against Rotherham Phoenix.
The visitors left Shaw Lane relieved with a 17-15 victory in Yorkshire Three.
Tom Hardwick’s try was converted by Chris Peel and a Peel penalty gave them a decent buffer.
Phoenix got back into it with a score before the break and then capitalised on Barnsley giving away penalties as they edged in front.
David Reed’s try, converted by Peel, got them back into the game but the missed penalty handed Phoenix the win.
They travel to Sheffield Medicals tomorrow.

They blitzed through Roundhegians with ease last Saturday, winning 36-14.
