A BARNSLEY hip-hop artist has been shortlisted in the Best UK Breakthrough Artist category at a prestigious award show.
Delilah Bon, the alter ego of Hands Off Gretel star Lauren Tate, has found herself with a great chance of picking up the title at the Heavy Music Awards.
The prestigious shortlist for the 14 categories has been crafted by a panel of almost 1,000 music industry experts, ahead of the heavy music fans themselves having the final say.
The winners will be decided exclusively by public vote, which is open until April 14.
She said: “I am so excited to have been nominated for this, to have recognition from the industry.
“I can’t wait to attend the awards night at Wembley.
“It now all depends how many people get behind me and vote, every vote really does count.”
Winners will be announced at an awards show at the OVO Arena, Wembley, on May 26, making it the biggest rock music awards ceremony ever held in the UK.
