Barnsley will look for a fourth successive win on Tuesday evening at a Charlton Athletic side who have not conceded at home from open play in more than nine hours of league football.
The Reds are tenth in the League One table – six points off the play-offs – having won 4-3 at home to Lincoln City on Saturday.
They have the second most away points in the division after two wins on the road last week.
The Addicks are sixth, four places and four points ahead of Darrell Clarke’s side.
They have won ten out of their last 14 league matches including 2-1 at fellow London club Leyton Orient on Saturday, with two injury-time goals.
Nathan Jones’ team are unbeaten at home in nine, winning the last five and conceding just a penalty in the last six.
Head coach Darrell Clarke told the Chronicle: “It’s a great game for us. Charlton are flying with real momentum and an experienced manager. But, I know if we’re on our game, we can win the game. We will go there in a confident mood and try to get after them.
“They are getting a lot of wins, they got two injury-time goals against Leyton Orient at the weekend. We have to stay consistent, have a gameplan and be ready.
“We respect that they are on a very good home run, and we have very good away form. It’s set up to be a big game.”
Clarke has only won one of nine meetings with Charlton.
The sides drew 2-2 at Oakwell in October. Barnsley were on top for 75 minutes and led through Davis Keillor-Dunn but ex-Red Luke Berry capitalised on errors by Matty Craig and Gaga Slonina to score twice before Max Watters levelled in injury-time.
The Reds did not win any of their first 21 trips to the Valley before three straight wins in 2008, 2012 and 2014.
They have lost the last four games there including a 2-1 defeat in April last season, after Adam Phillips levelled from the penalty spot.
