ONE of Barnsley’s theatrical heroes has taken to the stage with a famous group of Britain’s Got Talent winners this month.
Actor, writer and producer Jack Land Noble - who is usually based at the Lamproom Theatre - is playing Dame Trot, the mum of dancer Ashley Banjo and his street dance group, Diversity, in Jack and the Beanstalk.
“This is my second season with Ashley and the Diversity team,” said Jack.
“They’re consummate professionals yet they possess great humour, compassion and warmth.
“Playing their ‘mammy’ is an experience.
“Thankfully, back-flipping isn’t on Dame Trot’s agenda.”
The show - which is being hosted at Milton Keynes Theatre - marks Jack’s return to pantomime performing for the first time since the pandemic.
“When we got the panto team back together after so long through the pandemic, it was like we’d never been away - a genuine panto family reunion.
“Only upon reflection do you realise how surreal and testing the past two years have been for the industry.
“It’s just a joy to bring heaps of Yorkshire spirit to Buckinghamshire this Christmas.”
