AGATHA Christie’s acclaimed whodunnit The Unexpected Guest is a firm favourite of Trinity Players’ Graham Myers.

That’s why he’s selected it for his directorial debut - a full 35 years after first joining the group.

“It’s a play that I love because of its countless twists and turns before a big reveal right at the very end,” said Graham.

“I’m not alone in that - members of a book club have already purchased tickets as they have never seen it brought to life.

“I am fortunate in that I took a role in it when Turn Again Theatre staged it at Holmfirth.

“I loved it so much that I had to choose it for my debut production.

“Now I can’t wait - I have an excellent six-man, nine-woman-strong cast, headed by Steve Tasker and Savannah Ward, and I can stand in in case of emergencies.”

The show opens its four-night run at Trinity’s Crookes Street theatre on October 16. Performances start at 7.30pm and tickets, priced at £9 (£8 concessions) are available online at www.trinityplayersbarnsley.com or by phone on 07510 967772.
