A CLEVER idea by students from Darton College for a new type of alarm clock is being made into a prototype by engineers.
Pupils from the school were challenged to come up with innovative solutions to everyday problems at TechTown Lab, held at Barnsley’s Digital Media Centre.
Fifteen students from Darton College took part in the pilot event, which formed part of the I Know I Can scheme.
The young people also took part in a competition which challenged them to problem solve and the winning team was Up N Mat Tem which devised an alarm clock to get people out of bed.
