A WOMBWELL woman is making her big screen debut this week after appearing as an extra in a new action film.

Andrea Kenworthy, 49, appears in new historical action film '71 as part of the aftermath of a pub explosion.

The film, which features rising movie star Jack O'Connell, follows the story of a British soldier who becomes separated from his unit in Belfast during the height of the Irish troubles in 1971.

Andrea, of Leyfield Place, filmed her section in May 2013, her first job as a professional extra.

Andrea signed up to Manchester casting agency Nemesis after being applying and being chosen to be a fashion model on a This Morning segment in 2009. Last week, she filmed a part as a doctor on Hollyoaks.

"When we were filming, I thought it was just a low budget Channel Four film, so when I saw online that it was coming out in cinemas I couldn't believe it."
