Charlie Kelman
The Queens Park Rangers loanee is the top-scorer in League One with 19 goals. Kelman – who grew up in Texas and has played for the USA at youth level – has 23 goals this season in all competitions.
He has netted 11 times in his last 13 games – with braces in each of the last two – to overtake Richard Kone, of Wycombe, and Birmingham’s Jay Stansfield at the top of the scoring charts.
He scored at Oakwell in December, taking advantage of a Mael de Gevigney mistake to make it 3-0 just after half-time.
Another of Barnsley’s chief tormentors that day was Tottenham loanee Jamie Donley who opened the scoring and took some of the set pieces which the Reds could not cope with in windy conditions.
