FED-UP residents in Woolley Grange have called for more to be done to spruce up the area after a firm responsible for maintenance have reportedly gone radio silent for two years.
Locals at Mission Court have been having trouble with Anthem Management who should be conducting work at the block of flats.
Unsafe conditions and ‘huge’ piles of rubbish have been piling up outside the flats.
Marjorie Sanderson, 74, moved into the flats almost six years ago and said that initially they were in a good condition while under the guise of LIV.
However, after Anthem Management became involved she said they have had no end of issues.
She told the Chronicle: “There’s a total of 12 flats in this block, although one has been empty for quite a while.
“It works out that we all pay around £100 monthly to them but we don’t get anything in return.
“We’ve got two great big bags of rubbish outside that have been there for two years.
“We’ve had issues with the front door and there’s some real slip hazards.
“It’s a really nice area and there’s no antisocial behaviour - but it’s embarrassing when people come round.”
Marjorie added that she has attempted to make contact for a number of years with the firm - but to no avail.
The Chronicle contacted Anthem Management for a comment but they did not respond.
