OLIVER Rowland will be hoping to kickstart his Formula E season this weekend in Mexico.

The 32-year-old from Penistone did not pick up any points in the first race of the season in Brazil last month.

After setting the fastest time in practice in Sao Paulo, he finished second in qualifying and moved into first on the opening corner of the race.

He would lose and regain the lead twice before – after a red flag brought the race to a stop – he received ‘a drive-through penalty for overpower’ and finished 14th.

Rowland will travel to Mexico City tomorrow for the second round of the competition, hoping to pick up his first points of the year.
