BARNSLEY College students joined social action group ‘Serve the City’ to tackle the litter issue in Paris.
Ten students travelled to France’s capital to take part in the fully-funded three-night trip.
A full day was dedicated to participating in Serve the City’s ‘Sweep the City’ volunteer initiative, aimed at cleaning up Paris and positively impacting the environment by tidying up busy areas of the city.
Sasha Foyster, learner voice adviser for student services at the college, added: “This initiative was brought in to celebrate the exceptional students at college and their amazing achievements by providing the winners with a once-in-a-lifetime trip they can experience together.
“All the students should be incredibly proud of themselves; they have gone above and beyond in engaging with the Student Union, and some have still committed to being a voice for students despite unthinkable barriers.”
