THE cast of the iconic Red Dwarf show will be coming to Barnsley this weekend to celebrate their 35th anniversary - in a Comic-Con event which is set to be ‘out of this world’.
On Sunday, from 11am to 5pm, the event will be held at the Metrodome - and locals are being encouraged to dust off their capes and ignite their inner geek.
The Red Dwarf stars - such as the groovy cat Danny John Jules and Norman Lovett who played the hapless computer - will be on hand to speak with those in attendance as they celebrate the show’s 35th anniversary.
General manager of the event Samantha Gibben said: “Our geeky attractions at Barnsley Comic-Con are a rollercoaster ride through pop culture paradise.
“From movie props to cosplay groups, face painting to iconic scenes for hire, there’s something for every fan.
“Get ready to unleash your inner geek and make memories that are truly out of this world.
