A POLICE investigation has been launched following reported disorder prior to Barnsley FC’s League One play-off semi final match against Bolton Wanderers.
Officers are investigating public order incidents prior and following to the game on May 29 - and have released CCTV images of five men they would like to speak to in connection to the incidents.
It’s reported that a group of men were involved in an incident prior to the match, at around 5.45pm on Church Street.
They are believed to have been involved in the incident where glasses and other items were thrown towards crowds.
Following the match, further disorder was reported after fans invaded the pitch at Oakwell Stadium, whereby some individuals are alleged to have taken alighted pyrotechnics onto the pitch.
Officers investigating are keen to speak to the five in connection to their enquiries.
