A PENSIONER has been left in a critical condition after a car collided with a pedestrian on Wednesday.
It’s reported that at around 3.45pm, a blue Skoda Fabia was travelling along Broadway from the direction of Dodworth towards Pogmoor when it was involved in a collision with a pedestrian on the bend in the road near Greenacre School.
A 67-year-old woman, the pedestrian, was taken to hospital where she remains in a critical condition with head and pelvic injuries.
A second pedestrian, a woman in her 70s, received minor cuts to her head.
Officers are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
Sergeant Matt Duffy, the officer leading the investigation, said: “We are seeking witnesses yo this collision so that we can build a complete picture of what happened in the build-up to the incident and the collision itself.
“If you were in the area at the time and witnessed the collision or were driving past at the time and have a dash cam in your vehicle which may have captured the collision we’d like to hear from you.”
