BARNSLEY Women’s FC won 4-0 at home to Lincoln City in the National League Division One Midlands.
There were goals by Jodie Snelson and Anita Gaspar then a double from Jemima Jarvis.
The Reds are sixth in the table with 16 points from ten games – 13 clear of the bottom two and 11 off two.
They now have three weeks without a game, having won their last two fixtures.
Manager Craige Richardson said: “We’re pleased.
“When we saw the fixtures a couple of weeks ago, we said this was a game we had to win.
“Lincoln were just behind us so we’ve got a bit of space now. The girls deserve it.
“Three players out of their positions and did really really well.
“They are a fantastic bunch and I am proud every week to walk them out.”
Meanwhile, AFC Pogmoor won 3-1 at home to West End Terriers in Division Three of the Sheffield and Hallamshire Women’s League.
The scorers were Courtney Kaye, Sheldon Hirst and Lydia Griffith-Jones.
Leaders Dearne and District won 4-1 at Edenthorpe. Lily-May Beevers, Amy Finney, Rachel Mapplebeck and Stephanie Marsden scored.
Penistone Church lost 4-1 at home to Middlewood Rovers in Division One.
Wath Stars won 2-0 at Socrates in Division Two. Faye Broadhead and Brooke Tully got the goals. Wath are second, eight points off top with two games in hand on the league leaders. They are unbeaten since the opening day of the season while they have won their last six matches.
