JENSON Young finished on the podium again at the latest race in the National Cyclocross Championship.
The 23-year-old from Hemingfield was competing in Paignton, Devon.
He finished third in the race, a minute and two seconds behind Thomas Mein who has won all three races in the series so far.
Jenson has finished fourth, then third then third which leaves him third in the overall standings with 500 points – 100 off Mein.
The fourth race is on December 8 in Clanfield in the South Downs National Park and the last on January 5 in Tong, West Yorkshire.
Meanwhile, Christine Minto, life president of Birdwell Wheelers, was awarded The Joe Summerlin Trophy by the board of Cycling Time Trials.
The award is given to a person for outstanding contributions to the sport. A volunteer for decades, and former national record-holder, Christine regularly time keeps for local time-trials as well as risk assessing local courses. She received the trophy from ex-professional cyclist Alex Dowsett.
