BARNSLEY Youth Choir remains the highest ranked choir from Great Britain following the release of the world rankings.
The choir ranks fifth in the world on the INTERKULTUR world rankings.
A spokesperson for the choir said: “We’re so happy to be featured in the INTERKULTUR world rankings, and proud of the achievements of all 560 children who are now involved in BYC, and those who support them; volunteers, musicians, choral leaders, sponsors, patrons, supporters and their amazing families.
“BYC remains the highest ranked choir from GB in these rankings - a community choir from Barnsley.
“Thank you to everyone that has supported the organisation over the last 13 years.”
