A TAKEAWAY curry house has made it to the Yorkshire final of the English Curry Awards again.
Little India at Barugh Green made it into the final six in the running for the award in Yorkshire and the Humber, a category which they won in both 2016 and 2017.
Owner Amrad Rahman said: “We are honoured to be Yorkshire finalists at the English Curry Awards 2021.
“Because we’ve been in the pandemic, the last two years have been really hard.
“We’re so glad it’s back to normal again now and glad to be back in the running for the awards.
“I think it’s really fantastic for us to be back in the final - I’ve been working in Barnsley for 30 years and at Little India for 13 years.
“I’m happy a lot of people around here have come to know me and I really hope we can win for them this year.
“Fingers crossed we can bring the award to Barnsley.”
The awards are judged on the quality of the takeaway, their reputation and reviews customers leave, and the awards ceremony will be held on October 18 at Birmingham Holiday Inn.
