BARNSLEY girl Olivia Owens has become a social media sensation after appearing on MTV’s reality show True Love or True Lies.
The MTV programme, which is hosted by Maya Jama, sees six couples in a mansion compete to prove whose relationship is the best.
However there are some couples who aren’t in a relationship at all  and viewers have to try and spot the fakes.
Olivia, 21, of Commercial Street, got scouted to go on the programme by a casting agent who noticed her on Instagram and saw she had more than 6,500 followers. Having worked at Topshop for three years and then Voice Marketing for the past year, this is the first reality TV that Olivia has done and she hopes she’ll have the opportunity to do it again.
She said: “Being on the show was literally the best thing I’ve ever done. I had so much fun and met some amazing people. I would definitely do reality TV again. It was stressful but completely worth it.”
She also added: “I’d like to continue with TV work after this experience because I loved it.”
After the show Olivia isn’t sure what her next steps will be but she did say that she’ll “be down in London a lot with MTV to discuss things for the future.”
