SHE looks like a cherub but you don't want to get on the wrong side of her blade.
Helana Cotterill-Bolsover, who goes to Tankersley St Peter's Primary School, is just seven but she is already preparing for her 'go fence' bronze award.
Go fence is a 'softer and cheaper' version of the sport designed by British Fencing.
Helana's dad is Jonathan Cotterill-Bolsover who recently set up a successful fencing club for children, the Hoyland Harriers, which meets at Rockingham Community Centre.
Jonathan and head coach James Swallow-Gaunt teach fencing in primary schools and have so far worked with about 2,000 primary school pupils.
Jonathan said: "We both work in sports coaching but saw that lots of children who were enjoying fencing had nowhere to go so we set the club up."
He added: "Helana has been fencing for three months. She looks like a cherub - and actually she really is a cherub."
