Young people wanting to set up their own businesses are to get a helping hand - from hotel manager Ann Kelly.
Ann, the manager at Holiday Inn in Dodworth, will act as a mentor as for the new project, iTrust.
The joint venture between Barnsley College and the Barnsley Chronicle, aims to encourage entrepreneurial behaviour in young people across the borough whilst creating the next generation of business leaders and thinkers.
Ann, who has worked in a number of hotels, said she has a wealth of business knowledge and experience to offer.
She said: "I'm really looking forward to working with the young people.
"iTrust is very important for young adults.
"They think they can be young entrepreneurs, and it would be said if there was nobody there to help them.
"I have a bank of knowledge and have an old head on my shoulders, but a young body.
"I can give anyone a good grounding, for both the customer and financial sides and know in which direction they should be going."
Ann has mentored school pupils in Grimethorpe and Wombwell and worked with Horizon Community College last year on a project where students were given a small amount of money to set up their own business.
