A dog missing from a rescue centre in Castleford is believed to be in Barnsley.
Molly, a six-year-old white bichon frise, lives at the Ponderosa Kennels and Cattery in Castleford after her owner was diagnosed with terminal cancer.
Karen Greaves, who runs the kennels, said Molly and her two pups, along with another male dog were stolen from the rescue centre on June 29.
The other three dogs have since been found and returned to the centre but Molly is still missing and Karen is desperate to find her.
She said: "The police have been involved and we've had three of the dogs returned with help from the public.
"The other dog, Molly, was given to a man living in the Dodworth area by his daughter. He said the dog had run away four days ago, and he didn't have the heart to tell his daughter.
"I've rang the dog warden in Barnsley to see if there has been any reports and they've taken Molly's details down.
"I feel responsible for Molly because she was brought in here for rehoming.
"Her owner was diagnosed with terminal cancer and couldn't look after Molly and the pups, who came to us when the pups were four-weeks-old. The owner asked me to help and I feel so bad now because she would be turning in her grave if she knew what had happened."
If anyone spots Molly, who is all white with some staining under her eyes and on her face, should contact Karen on 07940 064 974 or the rescue centre on 01977 552 303.
