BOTH the Barnsley fighters in action on Saturday night’s show at the Metrodome were victorious.

Light-welterweight Jamyleigh Pettinger made history as she opened up the show.

The teenager from Brampton is the town’s first ever female professional and she got off to a winning start against Bojana Libiszewska.

Pettinger claimed a 39-38 victory in the view of referee Michael Alexander.

There were some close rounds but Pettinger’s dominant start proved pivotal.

Wombwell’s Jake Jon Cleary made it 2-0 as a professional.

Welterweight Cleary won all four rounds against Rotherham’s Nathan Darby in a one-sided contest.
