A BARNSLEY-based domestic abuse service has announced new leadership appointments.

Resolute Women’s Support Services has announced the election of Carly Jones as the new chair of the board, and Manveet Chhina as a new trustee.

CEO Deborah Jones said Carly brings extensive experience in neurodivergency, advocacy, and strategic development to her new role as chair.

Carly said: “I am deeply honoured to take on the role of chair and to lead a charity with such a powerful and impactful mission and contribute to the prevention, enforcement, and reform initiatives that lie at the heart of the charity’s work.

“Resolute Women’s Support Services’ multi-faceted approach to domestic abuse is both visionary and necessary.

“Preventing domestic abuse before it starts is crucial to breaking the cycle of abuse, and I’m excited to support efforts aimed at early intervention and education.”

While Manveet, who brings with her a wealth of expertise in family law and criminal law, will be a new trustee on the board.

She said: “I am honoured to join the board of Resolute Women’s Support Services and to lead a charity with such a powerful and impactful mission.
