Vimal Yoganathan has signed a new long-term deal at Barnsley and been loaned out to Oldham Athletic for the rest of the season.
The 19-year-old midfielder has signed a new deal until 2028 with a club option for another year.
The Wales youth international joins Oldham who are currently fifth in the National League.
Meanwhile, striker Andy Dallas has joined League Two Morecambe for the rest of the season.
There are several clubs interested in taking Josh Benson who looks set to leave before Monday’s transfer deadline.
