Penistone Church won 3-0 at Pickering Town in NCEL Premier Division.
Nathan Keightley, Luca Defalco and Kieran Ryan netted to end a five-match winless run since November.
Church moved back into the top five play-off places with 41 points from 27 games, with 11 to play.
They are two points clear in the play-offs with every other team having at least one game in hand on them.
Co-manager John Whitehead said: “Sometimes the performances have been there but we haven’t had the rub of the green, we thought that it might happen again in the first 15 or 20 minutes.
“We looked at each other and thought ‘it’s going to be another one of those days where we’ve had good possession and good attacking opportunities but just not been able to put the ball in the back of the net.’
“Every single one of the lads from one to 16 have been a part of our win and it’s a performance that warranted the three points. We have nothing but admiration and praise for them they have been absolutely fantastic.
“It was a long way to travel, a great performance, a great victory, three goals away from home and a clean sheet.”
