BECKY Moody is still processing the reality of being an Olympic medalist while also looking ahead to more potential success with her horse Jagerbomb.

The Gunthwaite woman was a late replacement for the banned Charlotte Durjardin on the Great Britain dressage team at the Paris Olympics before helping them win bronze at her first Games.

Becky develops her horses and gives dressage lessons at the family stables as well as competing on the national and international stage.

Her main target with Jagerbomb this year is the European Championships in France in August.

Becky said: “We would be aiming for a team medal. We’re maybe not ready to go for an individual medal just yet.

“You need a bit more experience.

“The next Olympics in Los Angeles is a long-term goal. Jagerbomb is still young and he will be in his prime then.

“But four years is a long time so we will see what happens.

“I have some really strong horses coming up behind him as well. It’s developing all the time and it’s exciting.”

Jagerbomb is named after Becky’s grandfather Norman Moody, who the family nicknamed ‘Bomb.’

Norman was a former director of Barnsley Football Club.

Looking back on the Olympics in Paris, when she competed in front of the Palace of Versailles, Becky can still barely believe what she achieved.

“It’s quite surreal and pretty cool.

“A bit of me feels like it didn’t even happen.

“It was a really incredible thing to be part of.”
