BARNSLEY went down to a 6-1 defeat on Saturday and remain in jeopardy of relegation.

The Darton-based side were outplayed by the Yorkshire Peak and Wold Division One leaders Lindum.

It means they are ninth in the 12-team division, just a point ahead of Chesterfield’s second team.

Barnsley do have two games in hand on the teams around them.

They have a big chance to put more daylight between themselves with a trip to Chesterfield tomorrow and they then host midtable Horncastle on March 22.
