Barnsley under 21s missed two penalties in a 4-3 home defeat to Peterborough United on Tuesday.
The visitors scored in the first minute but Josiah Dyer levelled in the sixth. Posh made it 2-1 just before half-time after Georgie Gent was robbed of the ball and claimed for a foul.
Dyer saw a penalty well saved after Vimal Yoganathan was tripped in the box then the visitors made it 3-1. The impressive Yoganathan won another penalty but Theo Chapman put it well off target.
Kelechi Nwakali - who had a good game and hit the bar from an earlier free-kick - pulled one back on 60 minutes from a tight angle on the right after a fine run.
Connor Barratt levelled in injury-time only for Posh to win a penalty, for a foul by goalkeeper Adam Hayton, which they netted.
