Barnsley under 21s won 2-0 at Wigan Athletic on Tuesday afternoon.
Aiden Marsh, the only regular first team squad member involved, and Theo Chapman netted in the first half.
The win ended a run of one point from five games.
The under 21s now host Peterborough from 1pm on Tuesday.
The under 18s lost 4-0 at home to Birmingham City on Tuesday, conceding three times in the first 15 minutes.
