GREEN Moor were promoted while Monk Bretton and Dearne can join them on the final day of the season.
Green Moor were gifted promotion as their final opponents Doncaster Town 4th XI conceded, leaving them second in Division Seven and four points off top.
Monk Bretton will be promoted from Division Two if they win their final game on Saturday. The Monks defended 154 by removing hosts Wath 2nd XI for 108, with Harrison Hayes taking four for 14.
The Monks are fourth, two points behind Hallam who are in the third of three promotion places having played all their games. A win at home to third-placed Parkhead would secure promotion for the Monks. They would also go up if the game is rained off.
Promoted Penistone dismissed Thorpe Hesley and High Green for 98 in a four-wicket win. Chris Walmsley and Paul Dalton took three wickets each.
Dearne need a win from their final game on Saturday to take the second promotion place in Division Nine.
Dearne dismissed hosts Eden Grove Parklands for 50 in an eight-wicket win.
Reece Gibson, Paul Rollinson and Malcolm Day took three wickets each.
They are third, six points behind Silkstone United 2nd XI who have played all their games.
Silkstone removed Thorncliffe and Wentworth for 41 in an eight-wicket win.
Jez Dyson took four for 16 and Emma Wrightson four for no runs.
Darfield dismissed Upper Haugh for 53 in a four-wicket Division One win.
Jabari Mills took five wickets and Liam Hague four.
Kexborough could still be relegated going into the final day of the Division Three season. Kexborough – who lost to Cawthorne 2nd XI this week -– are one place and four points clear of the bottom three. If they lose on Saturday and Bradfield win, Kexborough will go down.
George Charnock scored 115 with 11 fours and five sixes while Spencer Wiles added 56 not out off 48 balls in Cawthorne’s 251. Ulaganathan Sayanthan took three wickets for Kexborough who then fell 63 runs short.
Cawthorne are in the third promotion place with a game left but fourth-placed Sheffield Collegiate 3rd XI could overtake them if they win both their remaining games this coming weekend.
Higham fell 36 runs short chasing 154 at Thorncliffe and Wentworth.
Thomas Swift and Gareth Kilburn took four wickets each.
Worsbrough Bridge won by 20 runs at home to Barnsley Woolley Miners 3rd XI. Mark Wilkinson made 85 not out in Worsbrough’s 215 then Zarmash Tarakhil took five wickets.
Barnsley’s Ben Bentley took four wickets then Joshua Hartfield made 64.
Wombwell Main dismissed Silkstone United for 103 in a nine-wicket Division Four win. Richard Wilkinson took five wickets and Jonathan Scaife three.
Rockingham 2nd XI defended 162 in a 45-run win over Conisbrough 2nd XI to stay within a place and two points of the third promotion place with a game to play.
Michael Brown scored 97 not out and John Williams 72 not out in Penistone 2nd XI’s win over Bradfield 2nd XI in Division Six. Penistone made 267 then the visitors were bowled out for 92. They have joined their first team in being promoted this season.
Relegated Higham 2nd XI defended 175 by bowling out opponents Whitley Hall 3rd XI for 142.
Rockingham 3rd XI won by 32 runs in victory over Barnby Dun 2nd XI in Division Eight. James Andrews scored 71 in Rock’s 195.
Monk Bretton 2nd XI dismissed Mexborough 2nd XI for 64 in a ten-wicket win. Jake Richardson took four for 16.
