THE man who taught Michael Jackson how to moonwalk will be sliding into Barnsley this weekend for a special performance at the Soho Social.

Jeffrey Daniel is most famous for his work with the late ‘King of Pop’, but has also had a thriving career separate to the musical legend.

Working with R and B group Shalamar, the performer has toured the world, and will now be stopping off in Barnsley town centre this Sunday at 3pm.

Owner of Shambles Street’s Soho Social, Dave Clayton, told the Chronicle: “It’s ridiculous we’re getting someone like him to come to Barnsley.

“Everyone keeps thinking it’s a tribute act but it’s real.

“He’s only ever done this show in Manchester and London, so getting him to Barnsley is great.

“The project’s been in the works since this time last year.”
