Barnsley man John Stones missed training with England today due to illness and is reportedly a doubt for their first European Championship game on Sunday.
The defender from Thurlstone picked up an injury in the final friendly on Friday but returned to training only to be absent again due to illness.
The Three Lions play Serbia in their opener in Germany, with doubts about the defence as Harry Maguire, who also spent time in the Oakwell academy, out of the tournament due to injury.
Meanwhile, there is better news for Barnsley player Callum Styles.
Styles was taken off before half-time in Hungary’s 3-0 win over Israel on Saturday due to an injury.
But the 24-year-old has since been quoted as saying the injury is not as bad as first feared and he could feature in the first game.
