BARNSLEY FC first team players visited the club’s charity scheme Inclusive Reds - which supports disabled residents - this week.
Captain Jordan Williams joined the session alongside Jamie McCart and Jon Russell.
The session takes place every Wednesday and is split into two parts, the morning starts with learning new skills whether that be, first aid, safety, or other life skills it also includes arts and crafts, quizzes, and board games.
The afternoon then incorporates physical exercise in a fun and inclusive way through different multi-sports and activities.
Jordan said: “It’s been a pleasure to spend some time at this programme, and interact with the participants.
“We could see how the space is made for them to feel comfortable and honestly that really came through.
“They were all welcoming and it was great to take part in an Easter egg hunt with them.”
Barnsley FC Community Trust inclusion officer, Jake Batty, added: ”It’s been great to have the players down at our session today and interacting with our participants.
“The session is really important and showcases the work we do to make sport inclusive for everyone.
“We would like to extend our thanks to Jordan, Jamie, and Jon for attending, the participants had a great time.”
