MADS Andersen ‘has a chance’ of playing in Barnsley’s play-off first leg at Bolton Wanderers on Saturday.
The captain and centre-back missed the last two games with a problem with an abdominal muscle.
Head coach Michael Duff said on Thursday: “He’s got a chance. He still hasn’t trained with the group yet so it will be a late on.
“If he’s not fit, he’s not fit. A 50 per cent Mads Andersen isn’t as good as a 100 per cent someone else. He’s a big player for us and it’s unfortunate timing but fingers crossed he can come through.”
Top-scorer Devante Cole is a minor doubt. Duff said: “Devante got a kick on Sunday. But it’s not a muscle injury so he should be fine. We will assess him.”
