A CHARITY event which benefitted several causes was held in Hoyland last weekend.
Organised at the Potters Wheel pub by fundraiser Pat Hardcastle - alongside friends Alison Hunt and Marie Haugen - cash was pledged to charity Enya’s Leukaemia Support Fund, Springwood School and the children’s oncology unit at Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
Hoyland girl Enya Haugen Jackson, eight, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia in July 2020 year and has since undergone chemotherapy as part of her treatment at the hospital.
Pat said: “We thought it would be nice to split the donations, and give some to different important causes in the area because they do such a good job.
“The event consisted of multiple different stalls, activities, food, and live music.
“There was also prizes to be won with some donations made at the event going towards tickets for raffles, tombola, and a prize food hamper.”
