Elliot Simoes has been sold by Barnsley to their French 'sister club' AS Nancy.

The 21-year-old Angola international joins the French second tier club who are also owned by the Reds' owners for an undisclosed fee.

Simoes joined from non-league FC United of Manchester in January 2019 when Daniel Stendel, now in charge of Nancy, was Reds head coach.

Stendel never played him then he appeared 27 times after the German left Oakwell, scoring three goals.

But he was loaned out in January to League One Doncaster Rovers where he played ten games.
